PhD Opportunity (Spring/Fall 2024)

The Isotope Hydro-Biogeochemistry Lab in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is seeking a PhD student to begin Spring or Fall 2024. The position will be fully funded through a combination of research and teaching assistantships. We are specifically looking for applicants interested in the interactions between hydrology and nitrogen biogeochemistry in US midwestern agroecosystems.

The selected individual will lead efforts in developing isotope-aided and process-based agroecosystem models to quantify coupled water transport, nutrient dynamics, and crop growth in tile-drained agricultural fields.
